Disney’s Epcot Mission Space Ride Contract Manufacturer

Disney Epcot Center Mission Space Ride

The Rose Corporation was the contract manufacturer for the the center hub of the Mission Space Ride centrifuge at Disney’s Epcot Center.

This is probably the most memorable project ever completed at The Rose Corporation. The Mission Space ride simulates a space shuttle launch and voyage to the planet Mars. The ride allows people to fulfill their fantasies of being an astronaut by being on a 4 person crew with responsibilities to accomplish a successful mission. At the beginning of the mission, the crew straps themselves into their seats to experience the tremendous force of liftoff. The highest level of experience on the ride uses a centrifuge that spins and tilts to simulate speed and G-forces during launch and re-entry.

The Rose Corporation fabricated the large-scale component at our 150,000 square foot facility in Reading, PA.  The centrifuge was painted in our state-of-the-art blasting and painting facility and then shipped to Florida.
