The Rose Corporation recently manufactured a 14 foot diameter and an 11 foot diameter replacement “Water Cooled Roof Ring” used on Electric Arc Furnaces. They are an essential part of the furnace process as a continuous flow of water enters the water jacket, circulates the entire ring and exits in order to keep the roof section of the Electric Arc Furnace cool (see illustration below).
ELECTRIC ARC FURNACES
The arc furnace pictured below, fabricated by the Rose Corporation, was ordered by a customer building a new foundry in Santiago, Chile. It is a duplication of an arc furnace originally designed and manufactured in 1980 for that same customer. The original furnace performed so well the customer wanted an exact duplicate. The new furnace benefited from upgraded, state-of-the art furnace controls. This 10-ton capacity furnace is used in the production of high-grade alloys for manufacturing specialized mining equipment.
The Rose Corporation manufactures all types and configurations of industrial furnaces such as batch type reheat and forging, tip-up, bell, car-bottom, vacuum, electric arc, and many more for both atmosphere and non-atmosphere, batch applications. The Rose Corporation’s sister company, Abbott Furnace manufactures continuous industrial furnaces under both Abbott Furnace and Drever furnace brands, as well as manufacturing dissociative, atmosphere generating equipment and customized industrial furnaces.
The Rose Corporation regularly reconditions and modernizes customer’s existing industrial furnace equipment to maximize production capacity and reduce operating costs. Through our sister company, Abbott Furnace, we offer a full line of furnace spare parts such as rolls, bearings, hi-temperature gaskets, mop curtains, glo-plugs, control systems, muffles, retorts, hearth tiles, refractory, electrode holder assemblies and sub-parts, water-cooled electric cables, roof cooling cables, alloy belts, burner radiation tubes, and much, much more.
